[geeks] Indy running 6.5.22

Hi,

Further to my previous post about Indy kernel panic :

Last night I gave up and left it chugging over a fresh install of 6.518f
with apps, nfs and f1,f2 and idl/idf from base. Woke up this morning to
a working Indy. Quickly reset various networking and other setup and
installed patch 5086. Went to work, and started the 6.5.22 from there.

It got to :

Running exit-commands .. 94%
infosearch.books.help,desktop_eoe.books.Desktop_UG,desktop_eoe.books.Hints_Shortcuts,desktop_eoe.books.PerSysAdmin,eoe.books.sgi_a
dmin,dmedia_eoe.books.MediaTls_UG,dmedia_eoe.books.SynthEditor_UG: (
(chroot $rbase /usr/sbin/insightAdmin -avfn C /usr/share/Insi
ght/library/SGI_bookshelves/SGI_EndUser>>$rbase/var/share/Insight/install.insight.log)2>>$rbase/var/share/Insight/install.insight.
log )

and suddenly the terminal isn't echo'ing and it doesn't ping. The end.

I know the IRIX compatability mandate announcement has ended support for
Indy, but I thought that 6.5.23 was the end of the line. Anyone running
6.5.22 on Indy R5000 ? Experience says bad ram, but to be honest, bad
ram would crop up more of the time. I've been running it maxed out for
about 6 months.

I really don't know if I can be bothered to go thru this again. Oh yes,
I'm a geek, so I have to.
