Or, one could just prepare in advance by buying a generator, and adapt
*that* to burn ethanol.  For that matter, one could shop around now for
a small steam engine -- you can, in a pinch, run that on anything.
Gasoline, alcohol, wood, coal, old copies of National Geographic....
