Does "enterprise ready" mean "as reliable as the Holodeck" these days?

  1) Access is cheap
  2) Access talks ODBC
  3) You can do "software development" in BASIC.
  4) Access (and MS SQL) have a "variant" datatype so you don't have
     to be bothered with proper data design.
  5) The whole world runs Windows on x86.  Didn't you get that memo?
