Alone, i will not be responsible for the AS/400 directly
but i will be responsible for coordinating support for it.
Hardware support from IBM is running out in two months and i
believe Infinium support is already out. They deal with
support on a case by case basis currently. I just need some
numbers to plug in incase i decide we need to bring in someone
during moves and consolidations. The office/server room
will be physically moving twice within the next six months
and they have two SAP boxes and an ACCPAC box that we
eventually want to consolidate into the AS/400 ERP. Of course
that will require the support of all three software companies
but i think it might be wise to have an AS/400 guy around
nonetheless during these moves.
