I actually did get her a mac and she hated it too, though she loved
photoshop on it. She refused to even try BeOSbecause as far as she was
concerned it had to be even worse than linux. She was an artist so you would
expect her to like MacOS or BeOS, but she hated the new and different on a
computer unless it slotted neatly into what she was used to. That reflexive
dislike for the different in computers is why small oses will always have a
very hard time with the general public.

And yes, our marriage broke up a year ago today in fact (or rather yesterday
now, it being well after midnight), though we didnt make it official and
tried to rebuild for a few months afterwards. It was all for the best.
