(well, not really)

We went to Borders tonight.. They had a big table of "Old, out of date,
and CHEAP! 50% off!" books.  Stuff like "Frontpage 97 for Dummies", 
things like that.. Hidden in the pile I find a "Teach Yourself C in 24 hours,
Second Edition" by Sams book.  Its got some gunk on the cover (like it
had a sticker on it once), and is marked down to $5.99.  I grab it, and
go back over and look at the shelf - this is the current edition, selling
15 feet away for $25.  Well, since it was in that pile, it was 50% of 
$5.99 (basically, 2.98).  Score!  This, along with the Schildt book and
the other Sams book I have (Teach Yourself ANSI C in 21 Days), should
be a good set of books to learn from.

Got it home, wiped off the gunk with windex and some kleenex.

I'm still debating the "Teach Yourself COBOL in 21 Days" book for
the same price, they have a HUGE pile of them (10-20); I'm guessing
from the Y2K run on COBOL. 8-)
