Oddly, Karin and I are going through the same thing, concerning our relocation
to Ohio.  Her *entire* family lives, was born, and will probably die, in
Warwick, RI.  They're extremely insular, and can't understand moving outside RI
- nevermind a 12 hour (*gasp*) drive away..  Apparently they wish I would
simply continue to collect unemployment or find a factory job, just so that we
stay here in RI.  The economics don't work, never mind that I would have to
give up on the career that I've spent the last 10 years building - it
apparently doesn't matter...

It's very upsetting to Karin.  I don't give a narrow, pink, flying, rat's ass
what they think (it's our life, not thiers) - but Karin is having some trouble
coping with the anger being directed towards her.  For diplomatic reasons, I'm
not allowed to tell anyone off - but my patience is growing short.  My
sister-in-law is being particularly harsh, and sooner or later she's going to
get a piece of my mind...
