Uhm, its YOUR child.  Who gives a flying fuck about what your FAMILY
wants?  Do what YOU and your HUSBAND want.  If your OB doesent care
about things, find another one.

Fuck all this "do what everyone ELSE wants" stuff.

I've seen the same thing happen with weddings.  All the relatives and
in-laws take over, and in the end, the two people for whom it matters
most (the bride and groom) are miserable because of dealing with how everyone
ELSE wants things to be.

Its not about them - its about YOU.  After all, you're the one passing the
equivalent of a bowling ball through a bodily orifice.
