nope, it is a big concrete hole in the ground with holes in it.  You
bury them in a goo layer of gravel, water runs in, water leaks out, but
there is no decomposition stage like sewer.  They are what parking lot
and road drains run to, what big buildings run roof water too, anything
that doesn't need processing basically.  We just put an addition on our
church, and the inspector said we could drain our new janitor sink to
one, so those chemicals won't run into our septic tank.
