I believe in a well running system, the poop is supposed to be broken
down over time until it is a fluid that can go out to the field as
well.  However, if you are having a large party (say your system is
designed for a family of four, and for an after noon you are having
200 people) then you probably should get it pumped because there is no
way it will be able to decompose solids fast enough to keep it from
getting pushed to the drain field.
