I hot pluged SCSI disks from and to NetBSD (i386, alpha, vax) machines
as well as my Indigo2 with IRIX 6.5. 

On IRIX do:
scsiha -r 1
scsiha -p 1
ioconfig -f /hw

NetBSD, see scsictl(8).

Tru64 and HPUX shuold be able to do it to, but I don't know how.
