Wow I never thought I'd see someone say that an IBM drive had a higher
failure rate than a Maxtor... God I can't count the number of Maxtor
drives that have failed on me or my friends...or the number of free drives
I've gotten from them when their shipping and RMA department screwed up.
I always recommended IBM, Quantum, and Seagate in that order... especially
for SCSI. Quantum made those nasty BigFoots though so IDE is a different
story. I love my IBM 9ZX UW 10K. I got it on eBay for $319 in 1998 or
so. It has a 5 year warranty that should be running out this year.. solid
drive.
