Informal Poll WAS RE: [geeks] Laid off blues

Okay time for another informal poll.

How many of us on this list have been laid of, made redundant, downsized,
restructured, or otherwise terminated without cause in the last year?

It's been twice for me, and hell it may be a third time before the end of
the year (it REALLY sucks when your company is doing VERY well but your
partner goes bankrupt thus fucking everything up)

Last Monday. came in from havin a smoke, got called to a meeting, got
laid off and sent out of there right on the spot. Well, at least I get
my DSL and stuff for 6 more months.That, at least was generous. It was
said at the meeting that "The only time DSL-fucking-net get their HR
paperwork 100% sqared away was when layin' someone off . they get that
much right every time.

 Time to make some phone calls, i guess
