As someone who gets to eat things that are effectively meat 
replacements (I've pointed out that stuff that isn't meat but tastes 
somewhat like appetising to me) whenever I get a meal off my parents, 
I'd just like to point out that they do make it easier when you're 
making a meal for 1 vegetarian out of 6.

Any carnivore would fall about laughing at that, although it's true to 
an extent.

The (UK) farmers would argue that they're forced into it all by the 
power of the supermarkets, and that they don't know what gets put into 
animal feed. Not sure I agree with them, but I'm getting very cynical 
about (UK) farmers.
