Absolutely not.  They should be dutifully ignored, or perhaps spat
upon.  It is absolutely essentially to allow such people to do such
things, but that doesn't mean that they shouldn't be sneared at, and have
such actions taken as a sign of bad character when say something like a
job interview rolls around.
