Agreed. And for the most part, I do the same. This was one
instance where every plumber I called wanted an outrageous
sum to do a job that I was willing to pay at most $150 plus
the cost of parts.

Eeeek! Yeah, I think I'd leave that to the Pro's too. :-)
Must be something with city plumbers or something because the
plumber we used out in the 'burbs wasn't nearly as expensive.
