[SunHELP] DT messaging system error

I too have received this error.  Doing a bunch of research will reveil
that there are MANY problems that can cause this to happen.  Stopping
RPC is one, as mentioned.  Also, if your ~/.dt environment is borked, it
will give the same error message.  In the past, I have found removing
the ~/.dt directory and/or rebooting the box resolved the issue. 
Unfortunately, when I was troubleshooting the problem, I had 20 other
issues to deal with as well.  

The quick fix for me was a reboot.

You can take a look in ~/.dt/ and look at the error logs to get a
(usually unhelpful) message on what failed during login.
