I can second this recommendation.  I've started using smpatch,
and it makes things much easier.  The Sol 8 boxes still take for-
ever, and I haven't gotten Sun to track down the local server
option for Solaris 9, yet.  But all-in-all it's an improvement over
DL'ing the clusters.
