I think u will also need the line 

search 	accesscomputing.co.uk

In the resolv.conf file

my resolv.conf file says:

bash-2.05# more /etc/resolv.conf
domain          accesscomputing.co.uk
nameserver      213.128.229.177

Do I need to have a . (dot) at the end of this one too?
