Hi Jim,

You need SCSI for that the U5 and U10 support a maximum hard drive size of
137 GB.

Hope that helps

Subject: [SunHELP] Large Cheap Storage for a U5

I want to hook up about 500-600GB of storage on a U5, and am looking
for good options. I don't need great speed, reliability, etc. This is
just for scratch space for files before they go to tape. If I could
stripe 3 300GB IDE drives together for this it would be perfect.

Anyone know how I could do this with out spending too much money?
Anyone ever see any decent Firewire or USB2 cards that would work on a
U5?

Thanks for any advice.
Jim
