Thermal event and carbonization of the chassis can, indeed, mean fire.

Sun machines can and do catch fire.

We had a e3500 that experienced a fire on the backplane.

Anyone else read Sun Alert 57548?

When Sun uses the words "thermal event" and "carbonization of the
chassis" are they trying to avoid a panic by not using the word "fire"?
Or do these things just get really, really hot with no flames?
