Run vxlicense -p to verify that the license is present and the license is
permanent. If it is a temporary license, the one installed may be expired.
Depending on what version of Veritas you have installed.

Thanks,
Johnny

Subject: [SunHELP] vxlicense error

Hi,
I am running Solaris 8. I got the following error while I was trying to
create file system on the data disk. I have a licensed installed which
is the first thing I
did after the installation of Veritas Packages.

# mkfs -F vxfs -o largefiles,bzise=8192 /dev/vx/rdsk/datadg/vol01
mkfs: You don't have a license to run this program

The following packages were installed
# pkgadd -d . VRTSvlic VRTSvxvm VRTSvmdoc VRTSvmman VRTSob VRTSobgui
VRTSvmpro VRTSfspro

I forgot to install Veritas File System packages VRTSvxfs VRTSfsdoc but
installed it after encapsulating the root disk and mirroring it.

Any clue?

Thanks
