Hi all

i have few sun sparc boxes running solaris 7,8 & 9
acting as our mail/dns/ldap/webmail etc servers, now
bcoz of generation of few logfiles and heavy lod on
the server the application which are running on the
server gets crashed often thesedays , the only problem
is we are not been able to give time to monitor the
server resources like Disk Space ,Free Partition size
,CPU load ,Processes, I/O and Memory utilization
of the system by manually running commands on these
systems so

now we are planning to enable and use the inbuilt
SNMP on the solaris server which comes with the
solaris. but unfortunately i am getting any detailed
docs on how to set it up and use it to monitor the
above mentioned resources so if some one knows any
good pointer which explains this then kindly let me
know ,

if some one is already doing this then kindly send
me your config files (offcourse by changing the
communityname etc ) so that can define my own config
learning from it , also if some one is using the snmp
with HPOV then pls let me know how can i use snmp on
solaris with HPOV monitoring ?

warm regards
Prashant
