Hi,

Solaris 8

I'm afraid our syslog doesn't want to write its log
files.
As I see the daemon runs perfectly:

[log at gep]# ps -ef|grep `cat /etc/syslog.pid`
	    root 20464     1  0 15:46:15 ?        0:01 /usr/sbin/syslogd

But the size of the messages file just 0, so I don't know how
could this happen?

I have a default syslog.conf.

Could you help me please what should I check?

Thanks in advance!

Regards;

		Istvan
