[SunHELP] Building on Solaris 2.8; Is this code binary compatible with 2.7?

Greetings:

Intuitively, I would think not.  We tested this via the following:

(Same Source Code throughout) 32 bit model.

Scenario 1: Our 2.8 Generated Code ran fine on 2.8 but would core dump on
2.7

Scenario 2: Our 2.7 Generated Code ran fine on 2.7 and 2.8

A previous email thread here:

suggests that Scenario 2: may be problematic.  Is there any online
references that details this?
