Hi ,

When i try to do a su and login to root i am not able to do so.
When i tried rsh from an other server who had access to this server i got
the error root passwd expired.

I remember previously the /etc/shadow file showed that the max passwd age
was set to 84 days .
I had no warning before my passwd expired to know that it will expire.

This server run solaris 2.6 and volume manager 2.5 . The root disk is
encapsulated and mirrored.

I saw in some mailing lists that even if passwd has expired i should be
able to login as root from the console ( is this true?)

Also if the logging in from console does not work what is the other option
?
how should i un encapsulate the root boot disk after booting the server in
single user more thro CDROM.

Thanks in advance for the valuable help .
