I did answer the question - if you had bothered to read down far enough.  My
suggestion was to use PSCP by the makers of PUTTY - edit the files on the
local machine using whatever editor they want, and PSCP 'em back up to the
server.

See - I did answer it - two times now.  Smarty Pants...
