I knew our 3800s have 8MB as they are Ultra Sparc IIIs but wasn't sure
about older generation Ultra Sparc IIs. Guess so. :-)

The Ultra Sparc II processors are higher end processors usually
found in
Enterprise systems and can have anywhere from 512K cache all the
way
up
to 4MB cache (maybe even 8MB but not sure). The i in IIi stands
for
integrated and is a cheaper designed processor usually with
less
cache
(although the 440mhz procs had 2MB). The IIe proc. is pretty
much a
replacement of the IIi and again has little cache (256K). The
IIe
procs.
can be found in Netra T1s and Sun Blade 100s. The IIi proc. can
be
found
in U5 and U10s. If you need more in-depth answers maybe some
Sun
engineers on the list can help. Hope this helps...

Can anyone explain the difference between an Ultra Sparc II
processor
	vs. an
Ultra Sparc IIe vs. and Ultra Sparc IIi?

	Thanks.
