[SunHELP] Solaris 8 IP stack: static routes vs IP strict destination multi homing?

hello,

I'm trying to enforce strict multihoming (on Solaris 8) in which a interface
should
not send out any packets of which the source interface does not equal the IP
address
of this interface.
However, due to static routes specified for the return destination, the
packets
are effectively send over the specified interface, regardless of the
ip_strict_dst_multihoming = 1 setting which in fact would result in packets
being dropped by the interface.
So it seems that static routes have the highest priority in the routing
process.

Some related questions:
1. is it possible to specify a metric with a default route and how can I
verify
the metric of a route (with netstat options?). I have tried "netstat -rnav",
but
the metric is not specified.
2. what does the A, B or L mean in the flags (e.g. UHB) of the "netstat
-rna" command?
3. Is it possible to specify that an IP process should only respond to an
incoming packet
via the same interface as the incoming packet was received on?

Thanks,
Jan
