[SunHELP] setting PATH

How is the PATH set in Solaris 8? For a regular user? For root?

It appears these files all play a role in the setting of PATH:

/etc/default/login
~/.profile
~/local.profile

Please correct me if I'm wrong...

If I wanted to set something for all users, I'd alter /etc/default/login
(the PATH section)

If I wanted to alter root's PATH, I'd alter /etc/default/login (the SUPATH
section)

If I wanted to alter a single user PATH, I'd alter ~/.profile (this is
always read)

If I wanted to alter a single user PATH only when they are sitting at the
console, I'd alter ~/local.profile

Is this correct???
