Hey everyone, it's me again :) I am still trying to get solaris 8
installed on an enterprise server, and so far it's going good. It's more
difficult to do the configuration manually than to use the installation
scripts packed on the CD (add_to_install_server, setup_install_server,
etc.). The boot server is of a FreeBSD architecture.

I get 95% of the way through the boot process before this comes up. It
may not be worded exactly, as I am writing this from memory.

Then I get a hash prompt with a spinning pipe symbol. What is the system
trying to fetch via bpgetfile? My /etc/bootparams files looks like so.

host1    root=server1:/export/install/Solaris_8/Tools/Boot
            install=server1:/export/install
            boottype=:in
            sysid_config=server1:/export/config
            install_config=server1:/export/config
            rootopts=:rsize=32768

I did review some docs online, and do I have to put the absolute path to
the sysidcfg file?

Also, during the boot process, the system sends out an "Address mask
request". I can reply to it using the "sing" tool, but when I use sing
(sing -reply <ip_of_install_client>), tcpdump shows the client sending
sun RPC packets with a netmask of 10.255.255.255. (host1.<src prt> ->
10.255.255.255.sunrpc). Then, the above bpgetfile error message appears.
Is there another tool I can use to reply to this request? Is there a way
I can eliminate the "Address mask request"? I tried putting the netmask
in /etc/netmasks and /netmasks, but that didn't work.
