's not your terminal emulators (probably) althoug I'd reccomend dumping 
hyperterm and getting CRT or NETTERM.

  Something is wrong on the drive, you may need to hook up a cdrom and 
reinstall, or force it to OBP with a "Break" and network boot it and reinstall.
