If you have to decide, 2.8 is much more important than 2.6 since the new =
Sun
machines can't run anything else then a recent Solaris 8 in 64 bit mode, =
so all
people using a Blade or a Netra X1 or T1 AC200 or Sunfire simply don't =
have the
option to go back to an older Solaris release.

This is also a hint to some other companies (hello Checkpoint, do you =
listen?).

2.6 is still widespread, but the differences are small and simply linking=
 to the
older libs should do it.
