[SunHELP] forgot root password

  1.. grab a solaris cdrom and put it in your cdrom drive
  2.. hit stop+a
  3.. at the 'ok' prompt, type boot cdrom -s
  4.. cd /tmp
  5.. mkdir /tmp/xxx
  (doesn't matter what xxx is)
  6.. mount /dev/dsk/c0t0d0s0 /tmp/root/xxx
  (where c0t0d0s0 is the location of your root drive)
  7.. start csh
  8.. setenv TERM vt220
  9.. cp /tmp/root/xxx/shadow /tmp/root/xxx/shadow/shadow.oops
  10.. vi /tmp/root/xxx/shadow and delete the encrypted password on the
root account
  11.. reboot, login with root a nd no password, and reset your root
password
