In Solaris:

Look in the /var/adm/messages log and find "sd0". You should see something
like this:

Mar 13 08:23:15 hostname unix: sd0 at SUNW,fas0: target 0 lun 0
Mar 13 08:23:15 hostname unix: sd0 is /sbus at 1f,0/SUNW,fas at e,8800000/sd at 0,0
Mar 13 08:23:15 hostname unix: root on
/sbus at 1f,0/SUNW,fas at e,8800000/sd at 0,0:a
fstype ufs

Next ls -l /dev/dsk:

# ls -l /dev/dsk
total 48
lrwxrwxrwx   1 root     root          51 Nov 16 16:29 c0t0d0s0 ->
../../devices/sbus at 1f,0/SUNW,fas at e,8800000/sd at 0,0:a
lrwxrwxrwx   1 root     root          51 Nov 16 16:29 c0t0d0s1 ->
../../devices/sbus at 1f,0/SUNW,fas at e,8800000/sd at 0,0:b
lrwxrwxrwx   1 root     root          51 Nov 16 16:29 c0t0d0s2 ->
../../devices/sbus at 1f,0/SUNW,fas at e,8800000/sd at 0,0:c
lrwxrwxrwx   1 root     root          51 Nov 16 16:29 c0t0d0s3 ->
../../devices/sbus at 1f,0/SUNW,fas at e,8800000/sd at 0,0:d
lrwxrwxrwx   1 root     root          51 Nov 16 16:29 c0t0d0s4 ->
../../devices/sbus at 1f,0/SUNW,fas at e,8800000/sd at 0,0:e
lrwxrwxrwx   1 root     root          51 Nov 16 16:29 c0t0d0s5 ->
../../devices/sbus at 1f,0/SUNW,fas at e,8800000/sd at 0,0:f
lrwxrwxrwx   1 root     root          51 Nov 16 16:29 c0t0d0s6 ->
../../devices/sbus at 1f,0/SUNW,fas at e,8800000/sd at 0,0:g
lrwxrwxrwx   1 root     root          51 Nov 16 16:29 c0t0d0s7 ->
../../devices/sbus at 1f,0/SUNW,fas at e,8800000/sd at 0,0:h

This shows you what slice is linked to what path. Match the path
here to the path from /var/adm/messages and you have your slice:

sd0 = c0t0d0s0

Hope this helped.

If I'm understanding your correctly...

/usr/opt/SUNWmd/sbin/metastat should tell you what you're looking for.
