i havent verified this...  but when a qfe pci card is
set for auto/auto (spd/duplex) and the switch port it
is connected to is hard set, the qfe card will
complain of a detection fault.  let me say that this
occured when a config change was made from auto/auto
on the switch to 100/FULL...  it seems cisco has a
different way of doing its speed/link settings then
sun (what a surprise...)  must say that i couldnt find
any info on the error at sunsolve (well, any that
helped).

PREVIOUS NOTE:
i received a parallel detection fault on a PCI qfe
card.  the qfe card is on a 220R running sol7 with the
latest patches.  i havent seen or heard of this
message before...  i do know that some of our switch
guys were messing with the config on the switch, is
this the most likely error as im thinkning?? that is
the ports on the switch were modified and solaris
reaceted strangely.  the switch is a cisco 4000 series
by the way...
