The easiest way is to do the following:

First create file in /usr/dt/config called somthing like Xsession.e and
Xsession.gn that contain something like:

----CUT HERE----------
# /usr/dt/config/Xsession.e
#
# used by dtlogin
#
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/local/lib:/usr/local/X11/lib:/usr/lib:/usr/openwin/lib
WINDOW_MANAGER=/usr/local/enlightenment/bin/enlightenment
PATH=$PATH:/usr/local/enlightenment/bin
export LD_LIBRARY_PATH WINDOW_MANAGER PATH
/usr/local/enlightenment/bin/enlightenment

-----EOF----

Now, create files in /usr/dt/config/C/Xresources.d called Xresources.e and
Xrsources.gn. The files should be something like:

-----CUT HERE------
# /usr/dt/config/C/Xresources.d/Xresources.wm
#
# used by dtlogin
#
Dtlogin*altDtsIncrement:        True
Dtlogin*altDtName:      "Enlightenment"
Dtlogin*altDtKey:       /usr/local/enlightenment/bin/enlightenment
Dtlogin*altDtStart:     /usr/dt/config/Xsession.e
Dtlogin*altDtLogo:     /usr/local/share/logos/WM_logo.xpm
---EOF----

Now when you log out of CDE, and are at the DTlogin in screen you should be
able to choose GNOME or E as your Desktop.
