[SunHELP] console servers

Don't know for your SUN hardware, but most of Sun Entreprise servers =
have a
keyswitch with a "secure" position.
In this mode, the server ignore any Stop-A or Break sent.

# /usr/platform/sun4u/sbin/prtdiag -v |grep Keyswitch
Keyswitch position is in Secure mode.

Another reason I can think of for hardware based terminal
servers.....

I use Linux boxen with Digi cards (not my choice). Every time the
dam OS goes
down it sends a break to the console ports, causing all our machines
to stop
and puke (not good in a production environment). Linux boxen do need
the
occational bootage (sorry evangelists). Hardware solutions are
permanent.

btw.. the break problem is a Digi issue (others do it too). There
are supposed
patches from Sun for the issue, but we haven't got them to work yet.
