set the path of gcc
ex:
#CC=/usr/local/bin/gcc ./configure

| where is gcc? is it in your path?  from the same directory that you ran
| ./configure run gcc and see what it says.  if it can't find it, just add
it
| to your path and try again, although without the developer package i think

| are missing all your header files, so it might not work anyway.
