I think what they started using back in Sol7 was a product
called "Totalnet" or something like that.

Check this link
http://www.sun.com/software/solstice/netclient/nfs-client.html
It has been EOLed, they provide a link to WRQs site who produces a similar
product.

I have a copy of PC-NFS 3.1, unfortunatly it does not work with Win2000,
which is what all my PeeCees run these days.
I would rather run a NFS client than Samba myself, but money is a factor...

Does anybody remember the old PC-NFS (Sun evidently *used* to sell)
Surely, Sun has a similar product now, ...don't they??
Any ideas what its called. We're currently using Samba to share disks
from an Ultra2 running Sol7 out to multiple clients (W9x,NT,W2K). The PHB
isn't happy with the occasional glitch we get w/ Samba.
also ...must of come into some $$$ to burn. ;-)

p.s. I have a call into Sun Sales, and they have to research it to see
what I'm talking about.

thanks for any info

Kyle
