In floating point terms the Athlon would kick the SPARC all over the shop.

for a list of benchmarks. Think it does it on integer as well. In fact a
500MHz PIII wil probably beat the SPARC at most things. SPARCs ain't that
quick except for the new UltraIIIs
which have just about caught up with the rest of the world. If you want fast
buy an 800MHz EV67 Alpha. Cost a bit tho'.....
