Subject: [SunHELP] Problems using ufsdump remotely on solaris

Hi ,
I use ufsdump for backing up a remote host to the tape host (both
machines
solaris 7 , Dat HP C1537A 12/24 GB) and
i have a strange problem. The tape gets filled up at about 6.5 GB .
When i
do a local backup (on the tape host) the size of data on tape approaches
19
GB. In both cases i use the compression driver /dev/rmt/0c. I suppose
something is going on with /sbin/rmt which is called by remote ufsdump.
Any ideas ?

Many thanks and sorry for my English.

Stratos
