In Solaris 8's case, and for future reference, you can run just 'devfsadm'
and that will do the job of the commands I posted earlier. The disks,
tapes, devlinks, and drvconfig commands were all replaced with one command
in later versions of Solaris 7, and all of Solaris 8.
