Hello all,

We are having problems with rcp. Sometimes when we rcp we get 'unknown
host'. According sunsolve, make sure nscd is running. pgrep nscd... it's
not there. ok /etc/init.d/nscd start
pgrep nscd ok now it's running... wait for a while... rcp gets 'unknown
host'... pgrep nscd ... still not running...

Anywho nscd keeps on disappearing... I have logged a ticket with sun...
They have been working on it. I have invalidated the hosts passwd group
caches...

Solaris 8 October release... Running on an e450 with 2 gigs of ram.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks
Karl
