Well, the notes for the openssl package on sunfreeware state that he was 
unable to get "working" shared libraries from the compile, so that openssh 
would not work.  Oddly enough, he also had openssh packages.  My post was 
basically a "what's going on here" sort of request :-)  If you've got it 
working fine, then I'll try compiling it myself.  Thanks for the info!
