silly admin ;)

/var/sadm contains all of the systems' Solaris package and patch
information. Without it, applying patches will assume that the packages it
is patching do not exist, or any prerequisites patches have been
installed.

You've basically deleted all information pertaining to what's on your
system.

Your only recourse is to reinstall your OS at this point. That would be
the easiest, at least.
