First of all, are you sure you are sourcing .profile upon login? If not and
using BASH, put the following in .bashrc and symlink .bash_profile to
.bashrc:

stty <CTRL-v><BACKSPACE>

Hi,
How to make backspace work on this netraX box.
stty erase ^H works on command line but is not working
when i put it in the .profile.
I will appreciate your quick response.
