[SunHELP] Ultra5/10 hardware question

I'm trying to install Solaris 8 on a 30GB Maxtor Drive on Ultra10 but the installation displays only 8062MB disk space. How can I make the Solaris installation see the correct size of the disk (30GB) instead of 8062MB.

Thanks,
Shahzad

Thus spake Shahid Shahzad-W5106C (W5106C at motorola.com):

I've heard problems of > 30G with older versions of Solaris. I've heard of
success with 40G on current solaris builds. No idea about 50 or 100.
Hopefully someone else here will be able to confirm.

Yep, any drive is fine. Sun uses seagate barracudas.

Nothing other than the current patch set. Make sure you have the latest
recommended kernel, filesystem utils, and platform drivers.

HTH.
