Sendmail is not a Mail User Agent, it's a Mail Transport Agent.  It's
not responsible for things like attachments, only for making sure mail
gets from point A to point B.

You need to "compose" the message before you hand it off to an MTA
such as sendmail.  Here's a short page on some ways to compose your
