[SunHELP] read man pages manually

can i read man pages manually ?
i mean i have installed something ... & it have a directory called man in
which there are man pages files .... can i read them ?
i am doing this cause when i try to fetch  that software man pages it gives
me error that no manual entry found..
but there are man pages there certianly ...
